Mersing has gained confidence of clients by completing complex projects with innovative methods and enhanced equipment. Mersing’s operations are enhanced through internal manufacturing, maintenance and repair. These capabilities create value and provide smart solutions for our clients.

Now we’ve fully developed our engineering intellect and have pushed our boundaries when it comes to being a specialist in the trenchless industry in Malaysia and South East Asia. To date, Mersing has become a Malaysian leader in medium to long distance pipelines in HDD.

OUR TEAM

Dato’ Lim Chee Kon, Managing Director

After assuming the helm at Mersing as the 2nd generation owner managing director, he continues to achieve significant results for the Company through his innovative engineering and sound business solutions.

He is also a man of vision, and saw how he could extend his services to neighboring countries as well as to give opportunities for his staff to explore and be exposed to overseas projects.

He expanded across neighbouring countries, and introduced Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) as part of the company’s services. Dato’ CK Lim and his team of engineers have created an impact in the Trenchless Engineering Industry not only here in Malaysia, but also in Hong Kong, Taiwan & Indonesia. He is an active member of Trenchless Asia & ISTT.

Many of Mersing’s trenchless projects have set the standards and is being emulated by other construction companies & engineering consultants in Malaysia.

Jacky Lim
Director

Jacky Lim started his career as a Project Engineer in the year 2010. From year 2013 onwards, he manages the Pipe Jacking and Micro Tunneling projects. Mr. Lim holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Materials Engineering) qualification from Monash University, Australia. He has a total of 8 years of experience in the industry, and was involved in the Pipe Jacking Works And Associated Pipe Jacking Pit Works at Lot 130, Klang, Selangor Darul Ehsan (Reka & Bina).

Alexander Yala
Horizontal Directional Drilling, Project Manager

He is the Project Manager of the Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) Department. Alex Yala holds a Bachelor Degree of Civil Engineering, from Saint Louis University, at Baguio City, Philippines. He has a total of 24 years in the industry. He is a member of the International Society of Trenchless Technology in Malaysia and Philippines.

Ivan Ho Fu Yeong
Horizontal Directional Drilling, Technical Manager

Ivan Ho graduated with a Bachelor Degree of Civil Engineering, Universiti Tenaga Nasional, Bangi. He also holds a certificate from Maritime Drilling School Ltd., North Sydney in Canada.

Ivan started off with Mersing in the Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) Department since 2010, starting off as a Project Engineer and is currently the Technical Project Manager in the HDD Team. He has a total of 10 years in the industry and was involved in some of the major HDD projects. Including the HATS 2A Sewerage project, and Sea Bed Crossing for Water Supply Department in Peng Chau, Hong Kong.
