DWDM, an optical technology used to increase bandwidth over existing backbones, carries multiple protocols and works by combining and transmitting multiple signals simultaneously at different wavelengths on the same fibre.
Fiberail’s wavelength services, can transmit data in Internet Protocol (IP), Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (SDH), Ethernet and Storage Area Network (SAN) - ESCON, FICON, and Fiber Channel - at varying speeds over an optical channel.
