Work Permit / Visa

All non-Malaysian citizens must apply and obtain a visa to work or travel within Malaysia. West Malaysians and Sabahans are also required to apply for a work permit to be able to work in Sarawak. Once the application is approved, the visa will be endorsed in the passport to indicate that the holder has applied for permission to enter Malaysia/Sarawak to work.

You can apply for either a single entry visa or a multiple entry visa or if you renew your work permit. Each application varies according to the contract between you and your company. You are required to be familiar with the application procedures if you intend to send in an application or if you intend to cancel your work permit.

Do not forget to apply for a spouse visa or children visa if your family intend to move with you. This is applicable for all non-Malaysian citizens. All West Malaysians and Sabahans are also required to apply for a visa if they intend to live in Sarawak.

You are required to understand the application procedures if you intend to send in a new application or if you intend to lodge for a  renewal or cancellation of your spouse/children/s visa.
